Instant-heating electric water heaters are the third generation of electric water heaters. The first generation is the most common storage-type electric water heater on the market, with capacities ranging from 40L to 100L, and some even exceeding 100L. Because these products use low-power heating tubes, each preheating session often takes an hour or more, which can be very inconvenient for users. Even though the heating technology of storage water heaters has continued to evolve, they still can't get past the long preheating times.
The second generation is the compact instant water heater. Instant heaters were created mainly to address the drawbacks of storage water heaters: low power, large capacity, and long heating times. They use high-power heating tubes to quickly heat the cold water that flows through the heating chamber, raising its temperature instantly. However, since they rely on high power, they require a dedicated line of at least 4 square millimeters for installation, and they are very sensitive to the incoming water temperature. When the incoming water is too cold or the water flow is too high, their performance is less than ideal.
Instant-heating water heaters are the third generation following storage and instant water heaters. They not only completely avoid the previous generations' drawbacks but also enhance their advantages, fully meeting users' comfort and satisfaction during showers.
Dual-mode water heaters feature two sets of heating components in one unit: one part is for instant heating, and the other is a small storage-type water heater, offering two modes—instant mode and preheat mode. In spring, summer, and fall, you can use instant mode with no waiting, and in winter you only need to preheat for 10 minutes.
They combine the best of both storage and instant water heaters: larger water capacity and lower power than instant heaters; smaller size and faster heating than storage heaters, better meeting customer needs.
Although ordinary instant water heaters and dual-mode water heaters are similar in size, their internal structures are very different. Compared to storage water heaters, instant water heaters are just smaller in size and more powerful, so they do heat up faster than storage-type heaters.
